The fourth landmark event in the Bible’s history is the giving of the law – not as a burden but as a blessing because it allowed Israel, as the nation they had become, to worship him as one people. It did not leave them as individuals seeking God, but as a body bound to God by covenant.
Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said, “This is the blood of the covenant that the LORD has made with you in accordance with all these words.”
