The third step of the Two Ways to Live summary of the gospel requires us to talk about God’s justice. It’s not enough to simply become aware of our own sin, we need to know that sin has a response from God’s character, he cannot overlook it. It’s something we actually know instinctively, we know that wrong ought to be punished and in our conversation we’re trying to draw that out. We need to make clear also, that a world in which God did not exercise justice would be a world, ultimately without meaning. If God doesn’t care what we do, then what we do means nothing.
We also have a book review tonight by John Hannah of John Lennox’s book, “God’s Undertaker”
