To help limit the spread of the coronavirus we have taken the difficult decision to cancel all our public meetings for worship for so long as the present crisis continues.
There will be neither a morning nor an evening service on Sundays, and midweek meetings on Tuesday nights will also be suspended.
We intend to live-stream at 11am on Sunday mornings using the existing YouTube channel. If you have used this before you won’t have to do anything different. If you haven’t watched online, or if you are unfamiliar with YouTube or the Internet in general, please get in touch with the elders or deacons and we will try to help you continue to participate in our worship in this way.
As elders and deacons we will endeavour to keep in touch with all our members and adherents, especially those who are self-isolating or who are following the government’s guidance to the over-70s. However, we encourage everyone to reach out to one another with phone calls, text and WhatsApp messages. Remember Paul’s call to,
“serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command: “Love your neighbour as yourself” (Gal 5:13-14).
If anyone needs help, practical or spiritual, whether it is getting groceries while in isolation, or for spiritual encouragement, whatever it is, please let us know the need so that no-one is missed in this unusual time.
By God’s grace many of us are reading together through the New Testament – please keep this up, and also remember to pray for one another and for our nation at this testing time. Not least, pray for those in authority over us that God will grant them wisdom as they face many impossible decisions.
